Welcome to Rebecca Hatton Interiors
“Rebecca Hatton Interiors is a design studio rooted in creativity, intuition, and a deep appreciation for spaces that feel as good as they look. My approach blends artistic insight with architectural understanding, informed by over 25 years experience as an interior designer, and my background as a painter, and student of Classical Feng Shui.”
“Inspired by nature and history, I aim to create interiors that are refined and personal—spaces that support well-being, reflect character, and feel truly lived in. Based in East Sussex and working across the UK and internationally, I bring thoughtful, tailored design to homes and commercial spaces alike.”
“A harmonious space relies on the right blend of colour, texture, shape, and pattern. I also consider rhythm, contrast, scale, and proportion to create interiors that feel balanced and joyful.”
Client Recommendations
“Rebecca was everything I was looking for in an interior designer: she more than rose to the challenge of creating space, storage and tranquillity in a small and awkwardly proportioned room. She was very responsive to my ideas and ultimately created something better than I could have imagined. She managed the job well and also provided an excellent after care service. I can't recommend her highly enough”
Belinda Naismith
"Rebecca was a delight to work with. She had an amazing intuition about me and what I wanted for my flat renovations, making the end result entirely bespoke to my requirements. Very flexible and always willing to go that extra mile. I would definitely recommend Rebecca and look forward to working with her again on my next project!"
Susannah Chen
“Rebecca has been a complete pleasure to work with. She is considered, professional and personable, intuitive but not pushy, and very responsive. These are ideal qualities and characteristics for the people you want to work with during building projects that can otherwise be very stressful. Rebecca had made project really enjoyable and I will definitively engage her again. Thanks!”

In 2000, I began my first professional role, focusing on commercial interior design projects for London property developers—including The Berkeley Group. Over the next decade, I worked with a range of corporate clients such as Grosvenor Estates, St George South London, and Savills Interior Services, alongside high-end private clients.
This experience laid the foundation for my expertise in high-end interior design, including interior design for new builds, city apartments, and home renovations. I’ve designed show flats, boutique commercial interiors, and luxury London interiors, building a reputation for thoughtful, elegant spaces that reflect both function and individuality.
I founded Rebecca Hatton Interiors in 2011, after more than a decade working in the design industry. Since then, I’ve worked on a diverse mix of residential and commercial interior design projects across the UK and internationally.
Based in East Sussex, I regularly take on projects in London and the South East, offering both in-person and online interior design services. My work spans everything from country houses and listed buildings to city apartments, new builds, and home renovations.
Alongside bespoke interior design, I also have experience with biophilic and Feng Shui-inspired interiors, and enjoy designing spaces with a strong sense of character—often drawing on influences from art, nature, and well-being.
What sets my work apart is the combination of artistic intuition, considered detail, and a holistic approach to design.
With a background in fine art and foundational training in Classical Feng Shui, I bring a deep understanding of balance, flow, and spatial harmony to every project—considering not just how a space looks, but how it feels to live in.
Each project is approached with care and creativity, resulting in interiors that reflect the people who inhabit them, while fostering clarity, comfort, and connection.
Rebecca Hatton Interiors is based in East Sussex and offers interior design services throughout the South East, London, and across the UK. I work on a variety of properties—from country houses and coastal cottages to London period homes and modern apartments in areas such as Kensington, Notting Hill, and Shoreditch. Both in-person and remote consultations are available. See the Services & Fees page for more details.
Yes. I work with international clients on projects abroad, especially North East America. Depending on your needs, I can provide remote interior design services or travel to the property for on-site consultations and installations. Each project is tailored to your location, lifestyle, and goals. For more details get in touch via the contact page.
Yes. Most projects include some element of online collaboration. Design meetings can be held via video call, where we review images, ideas, and options together in real time. This approach is especially convenient for international or remote projects and can be combined with occasional site visits for surveys, colour selection, or final installation.
I also offer fully remote interior design packages for overseas clients, using detailed floor plans, photographs, and video consultations to deliver complete, tailored design schemes. Visit the Services & Fees page for more information.
I work on a wide range of residential properties, including country houses, period homes, listed buildings, modern apartments, and new builds. Whether you're looking for a one-room refresh or a full-home renovation, each project is tailored to reflect your lifestyle and the character of the space.
I provide interior design services for a variety of commercial clients, including property developers, investment brokers, interior and fashion design firms, and wellness and hospitality companies.
Commercial interior design and renovation projects undertaken include hotels and guest houses, yoga and wellness spaces, turnkey solutions, furniture packages, serviced apartments, rental properties, office design, restaurants, cafés, show flats, marketing suites, and boutique commercial spaces.
Each project is approached with a focus on brand identity, functionality, and atmosphere.
See Commercial interior design for more details.
Yes. I offer a wide range of consultations for residential and commercial interior design, starting from 45 minutes — ideal for clients who would like focused guidance from a seasoned designer without committing to a full project. These can be in-person or remote, one-off or ongoing.
This could include help with colour schemes, finishes, layout suggestions, lighting design, reviewing architectural plans, or advice on holistic interior design and Feng Shui. The session can be remote or on-site depending on your location.
See the Consultation page for more details.
Yes, and often more than people expect. While there’s an upfront fee, I offer access to trade pricing and supplier discounts, which can significantly reduce the cost of furnishings and materials. This often offsets the design fee entirely, making the service cost-neutral overall. You'll also receive a clear, itemised budget so you can make informed decisions.
It starts with a free introductory call to discuss your project. If we’re a good fit, we’ll arrange a briefing—on-site or remote—to define the design direction.
You’ll receive a tailored, itemised quote and can choose the services you need.
The design phase typically includes measured surveys, layout planning, lighting and joinery design, bathroom and kitchen design, and product sourcing.
You’ll receive clear visual presentations and curated options, with opportunities to give feedback.
Once approved, I can manage the build or coordinate with your team. Remote projects include full digital support. At completion, I offer final styling and ongoing aftercare.
See Design Process for more information.
Interior design fees vary depending on the size and complexity of your project. Following an initial consultation, I’ll provide a clear and detailed proposal outlining the scope of work and associated costs for each stage of the design process.
Visit the Services & Fees page for pricing on consultations and design packages.
Absolutely — helping clients visualise their space before making decisions is a key part of my process. I use mood boards, layout plans, material samples, and visual references to clearly show how all the elements will come together.
Photos of your space can be adapted, and I can provide 3D visuals or drawings to explore different ideas. Plans and elevations are often presented in colour, with suggested textures, finishes, and palettes.
Whether it’s part of a full project or a one-off interior design consultation, these tools help you clearly visualise the space and support confident, informed choices.
Yes, absolutely—floor plans can be hard to interpret when you’re not used to them. I can transform technical drawings into something more relatable, so you can clearly picture how your space will look and function.
I can simply add colours and textures to plans, or transform them into 2D or 3D visuals, or even provide 3D walk-throughs. Mood boards and material samples can also help connect you to the feel of the space.
I often work alongside architects to refine the interior layout and bring warmth, functionality, and atmosphere to structural plans. I help you make key decisions around materials, lighting, furnishings, and flow — ensuring the design feels cohesive and personal.
Yes! This is more common than you’d think. My role is to listen to both perspectives and find a harmonious middle ground that honours each person’s taste. Through mood boards, samples, and guided conversations, we can land on a design that feels right for both of you.
Absolutely. I have a deep appreciation for historic architecture and a passion for working with listed buildings and period properties. My approach is sensitive to each building’s character and heritage, while ensuring the interior meets the needs of modern living.
Whether it’s a Georgian town house, Victorian terrace, or rural country home, I work carefully to preserve original features while introducing thoughtful updates that enhance comfort, flow, and functionality. This might include sourcing period-appropriate wallpapers, fabrics, lighting, and fittings, or designing bespoke joinery that reflects the property's age and style.
For clients seeking a more contemporary feel, I can also help blend historic and modern design in a way that feels seamless and authentic—creating interiors that honour the past while feeling fresh, balanced, and relevant.
Simply add your details on the contact page, and we will get in touch to book either a free introductory chat, or your consultation. We’ll discuss your vision, lifestyle, and space, and from there I can provide a tailored proposal and quote.
